Linden Spencer is elected as Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairperson in the 2025 Run-Off Election

I, the undersigned Robin Pachanos, Chief Electoral Officer for the Cree Nation Government, do hereby certify the following results in respect of the election for the Office of Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairperson. 

Total number of ballots cast: 3116 

Pursuant to Section 103 of the Cree Nation Government General Law, which specifies that the Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairperson must be elected by an absolute majority vote (fifty percent + one), and in accordance with the results of the Election of August 1st, 2025 hereto, Linden SPENCER has secured 2026 or 65.02% of the valid votes cast on the Election of August 1st, 2025. 

Therefore, pending any requests for a review of the standings and process, which must be received within a period of five (5) days, I hereby declare that based on the Results of the elections of August 1st, 2025, in my capacity as Chief Electoral Officer of the Cree Nation Government, Linden SPENCER elected as Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairperson of the Grand Council of the Crees (Eeyou Istchee) and Cree Nation Government for a term of Four (4) Years. 

And I have given this notice in Chisasibi on this 1st day of August 2025.
