Certificate of Election Results

I, the Chief Electoral Officer for the Cree Nation Government, do hereby certify the following results in respect of the election for the Grand Chief/Chairperson.

** Abel Bosum formally withdrew from the run-off election, in accordance with section 103 of the general by-law

In accordance with Article 26 an Act Respecting the Cree Nation Government, R.S.Q. c. G-1.031

1. which specifies that the candidate must be elected by an absolute majority vote (fifty percent + one), and in accordance with the results of the Election of July 14, 2021, hereto, I hereby declare that no Candidate has secured the required majority vote (50 %+1) and that no Candidate can be declared as having been elected to the office of Grand Chief/Chairman of the Grand Council of Crees (Eeyou Istchee)/Cree Nation Government.

Therefore, in my capacity as Chief Electoral Officer, I hereby declare that another election shall be held for the office of Grand Chief /Chairman of the Grand Council of Crees (Eeyou Istchee)/Cree Nation Government between the two candidates, whom have the most number of ballots from the Election held on July 14, 2021, namely;

1. Mandy GULL-MASTY
2. Pakesso MUKASH

Notice is hereby given of an election between the two (2) candidates shall be held on July 29, 2021

I, the Chief Electoral Officer for the Cree Nation Government, do hereby certify the following results in respect of the election for the Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairperson.

In accordance with Article 26 of an Act Respecting the Cree Nation Government, R.S.Q.

1. G-1.031 which specifies that the candidate must be elected by an absolute majority vote (fifty percent + one), and in accordance with the results of the Election of July 14, 2021, hereto, I hereby declare that no Candidate has secured the required majority vote (50 % +1) and that no Candidate can be declared as having been elected to the office of Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairman of the Grand Council of Crees (Eeyou Istchee)/Cree Nation Government.

Therefore, in my capacity as Chief Electoral Officer, I hereby declare that another election shall be held for the office of Deputy Grand Chief/Vice-Chairman of the Grand Council of Crees (Eeyou Istchee)/Cree Nation Government between the two candidates, whom have the most number of ballots from the Election held on July 14, 2021, namely;

1. Ashley Iserhoff
2. Norman A. Wapachee

Notice is hereby given of an election between the two (2) candidates shall be held on    July 29, 2021.

The schedule of the Election shall be as follows:

1. ADVANCED POLLS:                      Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
2. ELECTION DAY:                             Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
